TracknMe ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal expense tracking app developed by Villcrest JEM Studios. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device (via AsyncStorage) and is never transmitted to our servers:

  • Budget amounts and settings
  • Expense entries and transaction history
  • Spending categories
  • App preferences (theme, security settings)

This data remains on your device and is not accessible to us.

Data Collected by Third-Party Services

We use third-party SDKs to provide specific functionality. These services may collect the following data:

Analytics & Advertising Attribution (Google Analytics for Firebase)

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand app usage and track the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. This helps us optimize our budget and improve the app. Data collected includes:

  • Identifiers: Anonymous identifiers (such as IDFV or Android ID) to distinguish unique installs.
  • Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the app (e.g., app opens, session duration).
  • Advertising Data: Data related to the performance of our ads, used solely for attribution purposes.

Payment Processing (RevenueCat)

If you make a purchase, the following data is collected by our payment processor, RevenueCat:

  • Device Identifiers: Anonymous IDs used to identify your device for purchase verification.
  • Purchase Data: Records of in-app purchases you make to verify features, enable restoration, and prevent fraud.

2. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with:

  • Google LLC: Via Firebase Analytics, to monitor app performance and ad conversions.
  • RevenueCat: Our payment processor, to handle in-app purchases securely. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Play/App Store: For processing payments through the respective app stores.

3. Data Security

  • All local financial data is stored securely on your device.
  • Optional biometric lock (fingerprint/Face ID) is available to protect your data.
  • All data transmitted to third parties uses secure HTTPS encryption.

4. Data Retention

  • Local Data: Stored until you clear app data or uninstall the app.
  • Third-Party Data: Retained by Google and RevenueCat according to their respective retention policies and as long as necessary to provide services.

5. Your Rights & Opt-Out

You have the right to:

  • Delete local data: Clear app data in your device settings or uninstall the app.
  • Opt-out of tracking: You can manage your tracking preferences in your device settings (e.g., "Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS).
  • Request purchase data deletion: Contact us to request deletion of your RevenueCat customer record.

6. Children's Privacy

TracknMe is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date.
